Information relating to the Taylor Falls Public Library and the H. G. Murdock house, [undated] and 1960.

A paper, "History of the Taylors Falls Public Library" (November 30, 1960; 7 leaves; typed) describes the beginnings and growth of the Taylors Falls Public Library. The first library was organized in 1871, the Taylors Falls Library Association in 1887, and in 1919 it was organized as a free public library. The paper gives details on the organizers of the library, its location over the years, number of volumes, and a list of its presidents and secretaries. An article, "The H. G. Murdock Home at Taylors Falls" (undated; 2 leaves; typed) gives a brief description of this house which was built in 1859 by Samuel Dresser. Also included are a library bookmark and extracts of news articles (1871-1888) about the library from the Taylors Falls Journal (2 leaves, handwritten).
